Nutrition and Dietetic Service

Dietitians assess, diagnose and treat individuals with diet and nutrition problems. They also, at a wider public health level, promote nutritional well-being and they give practical guidance to enable people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices.

Accessing the service

Referral criteria to the service includes nutritional support

  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Cardiovascular Disease Risk Prevention
  • Gastro-Intestinal Disorders
  • Mal Absorption Syndromes or food intolerances
  • Dietary assessment.
